A pair of antique fish servers - Charles Christofle, c. 1860
A 2-piece serving cutlery for fish dishes, manufactured by Christofle, France around 1860. The knife with a saber-shaped blade. The fork with an open-worked end. Both parts are beautifully decorated with engravings of fish, water plants and flowers. These decorations are typical of the late 19th century and very detailed. The parts are marked with a very old mark for Christofle's silver-plated products; a lozenge within a square, with the image of a bee and the initials C-C for Charles Christofle.
