A pair of silver-plated Church candlesticks in Revival style - end of the 19th century

This lovely pair of silver-plated revival style candlesticks date from the late 19th century. The candle holders will most likely have been placed on or near the altar of a church or chapel. The couple has been polished up over the years, but this seems to have been a while ago; the silver layer has been considerably oxidized and has acquired a beautiful dark patina.
