Bruno Wiskemann - Silver-plated cutlery set -12 pax/83-piece - Chippendale series - Belgium, period 1930's-1960's
Beautiful silver-plated cutlery from the Chippendale series, made around the middle of the last century by the Orfevre (Bruno) Wiskemann. The company was founded as early as the 1870s by Otto-Leonard Wiskemann in the heart of the capital, after which it quickly ranked among the most prominent silversmiths in Belgium. After a difficult collaboration, the nephew Bruno left the company in the 1910's to run his own firm, with which he also collaborated with the house of Wolfers Frères. This cutlery probably dates from the period between 1930 and 1960 and is still in excellent condition. Consisting of: - 12 dinner spoons - 12 dinner knives - 12 dinner forks - 12 breakfast spoons - 12 breakfast forks - 10 breakfast knives - 11 dessert / teaspoons - Sauce spoon - Serving spoon - Potato spoon In very good condition. There are common, minimal usage scratches consistent with age, but the silver luster has not been affected anywhere and is still beautifully present. All parts are marked with [W] [100/60/21 / x ..] The blades of the knives are marked with [Bruno Wiskemann]
