Antique Christofle Punch Ladle with twisted handle - France, period 1860-1914
A true old-timer: this antique Christofle punch ladle is anywhere between 106 to 160 years old. The ladle has a partially twisted handle and a beautiful, floral-shaped bowl. The handle's pattern was called "Baguette" in 19th century France. In the second half of the 20th century, Christofle renamed this pattern as "Fidelio".
In excellent condition. Some light scratches here and there.
Bears a rare 19th century mark of a diamond in a square, with a bee below the typical Christofle scales, flanked by the initials C.C. This mark for silver-plated objects was only used in the period of 1860-1914. Additionally marked with [CHRISTOFLE]
