Silver plated Art Nouveaux Cutlery Canteen - Jugendstil - 84-piece/12-pax. - Alpaca 100 - Germany, 1st half of the 20th century
A complete and elaborate silver plated set of cutlery in its canteen, made in Germany in the first half of the 20th century. In typical Art Noveaux style, the handles are beautifully decorated with swirling lines, which end in an ornament at the bottom. The cutlery is suitable for 12 people and comes in its original burgundy-red canteen with silk inlay in the lid. Heavily silver plated on a base metal of Alpaca (a silvery white copper-zinc-nickel alloy).

The cutlery is in excellent condition. Some sporadic (polishable) oxidation of the silver.
All parts are marked on the back with [ALPACA][SILBER 100]. The blades of the knives marked "Solingen Rostfrei"
