Antique Christofle set of Fish Servers - Baguette pattern - France, 1860-1914
A 2-piece set of serving cutlery for fish, made by Charles Christofle, France around 1860. The knife with a saber-shaped blade, the fork has a beautiful, openworked blade. In the old model "Baguette", a classic French pattern that was reintroduced in 1992 as the Fidelio series. However, the serving parts were never manufactured in this manner again.
The parts are marked with a very old mark for Christofle silver-plated products; a rhombus within a square, containing the image of a bee under the initials C-C for Charles Christofle. This maker's mark was used between 1860-1914. Also marked with [CHRISTOFLE]
