Set of 12 Christofle Art Deco kniferests - Ondulations collection - design Luc Lanel, 1930's

With this rare set of 12 knife rests from the Ondulations collection, that problem will be a thing of the past. The design dates back to the 1930s, when Luc Lanel designed it for Christofle as part of the interior of the steamship SS Normandie. This was the epitome of luxury and modern design at that time.

The knife rests stand on legs of 8 semicircles each and are marked on the front; [CHRISTOFLE][O-Rook-C]

In excellent condition for their age. The silver lustre is perfectly preserved.
