Ercuis - Silver plated Art Deco Cutlery - Carthage collection - 38-piece/12-pax. - France, 1925-1940
A fine silver plated canteen of cutlery Ercuis of France, dating from the Art Deco period between 1925 and 1940. From the Carthage collection. The ends of the handles are decorated with a stepped motif between 2 double fillet lines. On the back of the pieces, where the handle ends in a geometric fan pattern. During the artistic boom of the Art Deco years, Ercuis led the way with a range of modern designs for their silverware, and this cutlery is a prime example.

The cutlery is in good condition, with only minor signs of use (minor scratches, some discoloration of the silver here and there). The parts have been re-polished and shine with new-found lustre.
