A Christofle Renaissance .925 Silver place setting - in Christofle sleeves
A rare silver place setting from Christofle, from the Renaissance collection. This openwork pattern was the showpiece of the French silversmith Cardeilhac until it was taken over by Christofle in 1951. The cutlery is beautifully detailed with an openwork end in the shape of a clover, containing the face of a "Putti" (a Renaissance-style angel). The fork has 3 teeth and the whole is finely decorated. In original packaging - .925 silver.
