Superb silver-plated canteen by Orfevrerie Wiskemann of Brussels. The cutlery is decorated in the style of Louis XVI - referred to in the 1931 sales catalog as "N.17 Louis XVI" and beautifully decorated with a pattern of bows and crossed ribbons. Wiskemann was founded in 1872 by Otto Leonard Wiskemann, and grew into one of the best known and most valued silversmiths in Belgium. The last photo shows the cutlery pattern depicted in the 1931 sales catalog.
