Silver Plated Empire Cutlery Canteen - 104-piece/12-pax. - Vanstahl, Belgium - c. 1950's
A beautiful silver plated canteen of cutlery in the Empire style, made around the 1950's by the Belgian firm Vanstahl. The pieces are beautifully decorated with laurel wreaths and garlands of lily leaves, with a palmette on the bottom of the handles. These details are typical of the style of the Napoleonic era and endow the pieces with a stately and elegant character. The cutlery is complete for 12 people and comes in its original dark blue canteen with 2 drawers and anti-oxidation cloths. The whole consists of 103 pieces, namely:
