A French Silver Plated Set of Cutlery in Louis XV/Rococo-style - 49-pieces/12-pax. - E.B., France - mid 20th century

A French silver plated set of cutlery in the Louis XV/Rococo style, dating from the mid 20th century. This set  is of high quality and beautifully decorated with typical Rococo elements - scrollwork, acanthus leaves and floral details. The whole comes in its original canteens with a folding lid and consists of 49 pieces in total.

Consisting of:

- 12 dinner spoons
- 12 dinner forks
- 12 dinner knives
- 12 coffee spoons
- Large Soup Spoon

In pristine condition. The pieces seem to be used very rarely. Minor scratches are present here and there, as well as patination of the silver that can be further polished.

All pieces are marked in the spoon trays and under the tines of the forks with [E-Hourglass-B] (silversmith unidentified) - and [84GR] for the silver plating. When plating this cutlery, 84 grams of silver was used for 12 dinner spoons and 12 dinner forks.
