Wiskemann, Brussel - Art Deco Silver Plated Champagne Cooler - Restaurant Anspach, Brussel - 1930's
A large Art Deco silver plated champagne cooler by Wiskemann of Brussels. Around the 1930s, this heavy champagne cooler graced the Restaurant Anspach, rue Jules van Praet in the inner city of Brussels. In typical Art Deco style, the piece is decorated with 2 bands of concentric rings. The ring-shaped handles hanging in two silver-plated spheres.
Gracefully yet rather inconspicuously engraved with "Restaurant Anspach" on the front.
Marked on the bottom with [WISKEMANN][+][24] and serial number [R523][32]

In excellent condition with light signs of use commensurate with age. This is limited to minor scratches and discoloration that can be further polished if desired.
