An Antique Christofle Oil and Vinegar Set - Winged Leopards - Napoleon III - France, c. 1870-1880

A unique and stunning silver-plated Oil and Vinegar Set by Christofle, Paris. This piece is very large for its kind, and a fine example of the eclectic Napoleon III style that was in vogue in France in the third quarter of the 19th century. The frame is flanked by two winged leopards on hoofed legs. The vase-shaped handle with a palmette within a loop and a flower at the top. An elegant monogram adorns the cartouche between the bottles.

Although the antique bottles and jars are not original, they complement the piece well. The set therefore consists of the following parts:

- Cruet
- Oil and vinegar bottles
- Sugar bowl
- Salt shakers (2 pieces)

The piece is in excellent condition.
