An Italian .800 silver Tea and Coffee service in the Rococo manner - A. Cesa, Alessandria - 1935-1944
Beautiful .800 silver coffee and tea service, made in the period 1933-1944 by A. Cesa from Alessandria, a city located between Genoa and Milan. The hand-forged service is of a high quality and beautifully formed in the Rococo manner with lobed bodies, scrollwork handles and lids with flower buds.
Consisting of:
- Teapot (406 grams - 21 cm high)
- Coffee pot (455 grams - 19 cm high)
- Sugar bowl (247 grams - 14 cm high)
- Cream set (193 grams - 14 cm high)
Total weight: 1301 grams
No damages, in near perfect condition.
All pieces marked on the bottom with [800][1-Fascio-AL] for A. Cesa, Via Trotti 4, Alessandria. This silversmith has been active in Alessandria since 1882, and today forms a part of the Gruppo Greggio, an Italian group of united silversmiths.
