Orfevrerie Ercuis - Silver Plated Cutlery Set - N. 29 Louis XV - 31-piece/6-pax. - mint condition

Beautiful silver plated set of  cutlery by the French Orfevrerie Ercuis. The pieces, from the collection "29. Louis XV" - are beautifully decorated with floral patterns, acanthus leaves and rocailles, motifs from the Rococo period. The whole is suitable for 6 people, consisting of:

- 6 dinner spoons
- 6 dinner knives
- 6 dinner forks
- 6 coffee spoons
- 6 crystal knife rests
- Ladle

All pieces are in mint condition. Eight pieces are still in the original packaging sleeves. The other pieces appear never to have been used.

Marked in the spoon bowls and under the tines of the forks with [O-Centaur-E][ERCUIS][100]. Blades of the knives marked with "Ercuis".

Ercuis is one of France's most famous silversmiths, with a long history dating back to 1867. The company was a purveyor to the French Navy, and supplied luxury hotels and cruise ships on the Cote d'Azur in the 1950s.
