A peculiar set of 12 antique, silver-plated teaspoons by the French silversmiths Fillot, Caslot, Dru & Cie. The teaspoons date from the period between 1912 and 1925, and were probably made for the Parisian department store Au Bon Marché. Finely detailed with a pattern of tendrils and oak leaves.
Length: 14.5cm.
All pieces marked in the bowls with [Russian Eagle between B-M]. This maker's mark is attributed to the company Fillot, Caslot, Dru & Cie, which had a significant share in the Parisian department store Au Bon Marché. It is likely that these pieces were especially produced for sale in the department store.
