Orfevrerie Boulenger - Silver Plated Strawberry spoon & Whipped-cream spoon - Paris, 1936
This silver-plated canteen contains a beautiful set of a silver-plated strawberry spoon and a whipped cream spoon, made by the Parisian Orfevrerie Boulenger. These unique pieces are not often found; the strawberry spoon has a beautifully detailed bowl in the shape of a round shell. The whipped cream spoon is very similar to its larger cousin, the ladle, but is smaller in size. The spoons are made in the Empire model "Marie Louise", which was undoubtedly one of the most finely decorated models of the Orfevrerie Boulenger. Still present is the original handwritten receipt, on which we can read that the set was sold on August 6, 1936. The Orfeverie Boulenger was dissolved in 1938.
