Christofle - Silver Plated Cutlery Canteen - Marly collection - 72-piece/12-pax. - France, 1950-1980
Splendid silverplated set of cutlery by Christofle, Paris' most renowned silversmiths. This set of cutlery from the Marly collection was bought in the second half of the twentieth century and features stunning details in the Rococo style; Rocaille, scrollswork, C- and S-shapes and foilage. The intricacy of these designs is a testimony to Christofle's craftmanship. The set consists of a total of 72 pieces for 12 persons.
Consisting of:
- 12 dinner spoons (20,5cm)
- 12 dinner knives (24,5cm)
- 12 dinner forks (20,5cm)
- 12 dessert spoons (17cm)
- 12 dessert knives (19,5cm)
- 12 dessert forks (17cm)
In fine condition. Some minor microscratching present, though never conspicuous. The silver's lustre is wonderfully preserved.
