Antique French Silver Plated Cutlery Canteen - Baguette - 38-piece/12-person - Baguette - Société Française d'Alliage de Métaux
An antique French silver-plated cutlery in a white wooden case, produced around the year 1900 by the Société Française d'Alliage de Métaux (SFAM). This manufacturer from the Oise region was founded in 1926 and remained active until 1983. This cutlery set dates from the late 1920's. The original canteen, as well as the cutlery were once purchased from jeweler A. Bony in Clemont-Ferrand, in the Auvergne. The cutlery is made in the classic Baguette model and is of a heavy quality. The simple elegance of the pieces makes it a beautiful eye-catcher in any ambience.
Consisting of:
- 12 dinner spoons
- 12 dinner forks
- 12 tea/dessert spoons
- Ladle
- Carving fork (ornate monogram on the back of the handle)
The pieces are in beautiful condition. The heavy silver plating is still completely intact.
All pieces marked under the tines of the forks and in the bowls of the spoons with [Metal Alliage Blanc][Handshake above 84gr]
