Christofle - America - Silver Plated Mahogany Cutlery Canteen - 151-piece/12-pax. - Luc Lanel - c. 1935
Offered is a majestic collection of silver-plated cutlery piece in the Art Deco pattern- America - designed in 1933 by Luc Lanel for Christofle. The cutlery comes in a luxurious mahogany box with an inlay of red velvet, a folding lid, extendable cutlery trays, a drawer for serving cutlery and two extra Christofle compartments for 12 cutlery pieces each. The knives can be stored upright in the lid. The set consists of a total of 151 cutlery pieces, including starter, dinner, fish and dessert dishes, as well as a large collection of serving cutlery. The America pattern is still sold by Christofle to this day.
The set dates from the heyday of the Art Deco and was purchased around 1935.

All pieces marked with the official Christofle hallmarks: [O-Scales-C][CHRISTOFLE] and [O-Chess Piece-C] for Orfevrerie Christofle.
The cutlery is in good, slightly used condition. The silver layer is preserved, and the cutlery is undamaged. Please view the pictures for an impression. The canteen in very good condition with some scratching on the top of the lid.
