Orfevrerie J. Brille - Silver Plated Art Deco Cutlery Canteen - 91-piece/12-pax. - France, 1920-1930
Beautiful silver-plated Art Deco cutlery canteen for 12 table guests. The set was manufactured by the Orfevrerie J. Brille in the 1920s, and comes in its original blue wooden canteen. This canteen has a folding lid and two insertable plateaus in which the pieces can be perfectly stored. The cutlery pieces are beautifully designed with a geometric design, typical of the Art Deco style. The set contains cutlery for starter and main courses, as well as a collection of serving cutlery.

In very good condition commensurate with age. 2 dinner knives and 4 starter knives have blades that have come out of the handle slightly, but are otherwise attached and fully functional. An example of this can be seen in the last photo.
All parts marked with [J-Lyre-B][Orbrille] for Orfevrerie J.Brille. This silversmith had been active since 1875 at 59 rue Fontaine-au-Roi and 12 rue Debelleyme in Paris. The company remained active until the mid-20th century.
