Karl Palda - Art Deco Whiskey decanter on a mirror plateau - Czechoslovakia, 1930's
This glass whiskey service was made during the Art Deco period, in Karl Palda's glass factory in Czechoslovakia. It dates from the 1930's and is geometrically designed, with black enamel inlay in a sleek and typical Art Deco design. The whiskey decanter is triangular in shape, the glasses hexagonal. The whole on a round mirror plateau with stepped edges. A real eye-catcher, an authentic piece.
The set is in excellent condition.
The Karl Palda company was founded in 1888 in Nový Bor in Bohemia (then a province of the Austro-Hungarian Empire). The company produced glassware in an immediately recognizable style.
