Muller Frères, Luneville - Art Deco wrought iron and frosted glass Chandelier - France, 1920-1936
Large Art Deco chandelier, made by the Muller Frères company from Luneville, France between 1920-1936. Wrought iron frame with floral decorations and curls. Frosted glass shades in typical geometric Art Deco design. Four shades to the side with a central, square hood with a stepped pattern and stylized sun rays. Judging from the Art Nouveau influences that can still be seen in the frame, it is possible that the frame was made earlier than the lampshades. The chandelier has been rewired, with 5 fittings.
The shades are in excellent condition, the frame is in good condition with original green paint and beautiful patina. The central hood has 1 broken corner at the back. This falls behind the edge of the frame, and is therefore not visible when the lamp is hanging.
Marked on the central shade with "Muller Frères, Luneville".
The chandelier was hung outside for photography.
