A monumental figural silver-plated Art Nouveau Jardiniere by Saglier Frères of Paris - France, 1894-1914
A monumental silver-plated figural Art Nouveau Jardiniere. Dating from the years between 1894-1914, this impressive piece was made by Saglier Frères of Paris. Oval body with floral decorations, flanked by two figures of naked women with scarves, leaning on the tops of the bowl. Art Nouveau decor on the center of the fronts depicting a reclining woman with putti. The piece is intended as the centerpiece of the table.
The brass liner fully intact and functional.
In very good condition. Some spots of silver loss on the decors in the middle.

Saglier Frères was founded after the death of the silversmith Victor Saglier, located at 12 rue d'Enghien, Paris and was celebrated for its Art Nouveau productions. The company continued to exist until 1948.
