Silver Plated Cutlery Canteen in the Louis XVI-style - 106-piece/12-pax. - Société Française d'Alliage de Métaux (S.F.A.M.) - France, 1926-1940
This silver-plated cutlery in a mahogany case comes from the French "Société Française d'Alliage de Métaux", SFAM for short. It is executed in Louis XVI, with an ornate pattern of trophies, acanthus leaves and laurel wreaths, the neoclassical style of the late 18th century. In addition to complete place settings for the starter and main course, for a party of twelve people, the cutlery set also contains a collection of serving pieces and a set of knife rests. France, dating from the 1st half of the 20th century. Sold at the time in Liège, Belgium at the house of Tilquin.

The cutlery is in good condition, with minor scratches due to use and oxidation of the silver. The blades of the knives are still intact. Please view the photos for an impression.
All pieces marked in the bowls and under the tines of the forks with [METAL ALLIAGE BLANC] on one side, and [Handshake][84GR] for the silver plating on the other side. The blades of the knives are marked [Tilquin Liege][Stainless] for stainless steel.
