€ 220,00
(including VAT)
A beautiful Art Nouveau sweets or fruit bowl, made by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in the period 1900-1910. The bowl is shaped like a tray with three separate compartments for serving treats or fruit. Decorated with typical Art Nouveau decorations of flowers, flowing tendrils and a curly handle. The edges are decorated all around with meanders and a stepped ending.
This piece is pictured in the 1906 WMF sales catalog on page 51 - under model number 231/3.
Made in "Old Silver" finish, so deliberately produced in an oxidized manner. As a result, we consciously did not polish the piece any further.
Marked under the handle with [B][Ostrich above WMF][OX].
